Loustal nous présente son dernier album "White Sonya", la New- Yorkaise criminelle avec Charyn. Nous parlerons également des
"frères Adamov" ainsi que des autres oeuvres du scénariste Charyn.

Comix Strip: Jacques de Loustal
Loustal a déjà publié quatre récits avec Philippe Paringaux, Coeurs de
sable, Barney et la note bleue, Un garçon romantique, et Kid Congo
(Prix du meilleur scénario au festival d'Angoulême 1998).
Il a également publié, avec Jérôme Charyn, Les frères Adamov et White Sonia qui paraîtra en mars 2000. Cet architecte attiré par l'illustration s'est fait
remarquer, notamment, par la qualité de ses aquarelles et sa technique du texte off placé sous le dessin.
Dans La couleur des rêves publié en 1994, Loustal sélectionnait ses meilleurs pastels, mis en texte par Paringaux. Outre cet album, ils ont également publié tous deux, Soleils de
nuit.

Loustal
If one would be sitting at a nice terrace in an African city, a
lizard crawling on the wall, an American car passing by, the
feeling of being lost in one of Loustal's pictures could very
well creep up on you. Loustal has been in Africa for a good part
of his life (building houses at the Moroccan beach) so his
scenes are well documented. He will only deviate from the
factual situation in favor of composition and to play with
conventions. Jacques Loustal is unsurpassed at depicting the
atmosphere of the desert - an atmosphere of silence and
loneliness, and ultimately one of singeing desert heat.

tapin après 10 ans passé en prison. 10 ans pour avoir tué Darl et

"Des images sans paroles nourries de littérature", ainsi débute cette rencontre avec le style Loustal. Peintre aux couleurs tropicales, dessinateur de bandes dessinées aux cadrages cinématographiques, Loustal avoue être marqué par une imagerie américaine façon Wim Wenders ou David Lynch.
